On Saturday, we loaded up and hit the slopes for the official opening day of Silverstar's 2018-2019 ski season. The kids have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of snow and were super stoked to get on their skis again.
And it was a perfect first day back, bluebird and fresh, can't ask for much more. I have a funny feeling we will be spending lots of time at the hill this winter!!
Truthfully, I do miss the sand between my toes but these smiles warm my heart too!

Halloween 2018
The Fogel family had a themed Halloween costume this year - Space Exploration!
Pearl was the rocket ship, Leo was the astronaut, Trap was the top dog at Mission Control and I was the moon.
To make our night even better, the Carpenters joined us! Phil was a cool penguin, Katie a racoon and baby John an adorable Moose! We love love love spending time together and were so very honoured to be a part of baby John's first ever trick or treating! A definite Halloween for the memory books!

Christmas Tree Farm
As per our tradition, late October brought us to our local Christmas Tree Farm to select our special tree. We walked the entire property this year just to make sure we selected the most perfect candidate.
We had a teeny tiny artificial one last year in Manly so the kids wanted to make up for it this year! And to help Trap out in the whole 'getting it through the front door' we sacrificed roundness for height. Won't be long now when we return to cut him down and decorate!

Update
Its been a while since I've posted... and a lot has happened. A lot!
We took off and lived in Australia for a while,
We returned and Trap rocked another Canadian fire season with Monashee Helicopters,
We enjoyed another annual Maine reunion,
We've had Track and Field season, BMX season, boating, camping, Vlearn...
So much to get caught up on. Trust that we are good, we are happy, and our days are full.
I've decided to post again starting from just recently. So here we go, let the updates begin!

Best Day!
Since our return from Maine/Ontario in mid July the kids and I have been busy. We've had happy summer adventures, we've had beautiful full summer days!
Beach days - Serena Ryder Concert - BMX races - Paddle Boarding - Pool Parties
Kangaroo Creek Farm - Water Slides - Caravan Farm Theatre - BMX Private coaching sessions - Salmom Arm Roots and Blues Festival - River Floats - Karate Summer Training - Pottery classes
WhiteCaps Soccer Camp - Drive In - Sleepovers - Backyard Swim lessons - Rock Climbing
But nothing comes close to driving to the Vernon Airport and watching Daddy land earlier tonight! By far the best day in a loooong time!
Trap is home tonight after an epic summer fighting fire in the William's Lake area and will probably start working on the Okanagan fires that have sprung up nearby tomorrow. We will see what happens in the morning and do our very best to stay together!
4 is always better than 3! Love you Trapper, man did we miss you!

Testing the Waters Camp
Pearl participated in a special camp last week facilitated by these three inspirational leaders: Josh Dueck, Mike Shaw and
Brad Swanson. We are very fortunate to have these three dedicated men in our community, shaping, teaching and motivating our kids!
Pearl's days were filled with biking, paddle boarding and yoga. But most importantly a strong and clear focus on positivity, believing in yourself and the power of visualization to overcome any obstacles. Anything is possible, reach for the stars Pearly girl!
