After her swaddling stage Pearl graduated to her gro-bag, where she thrived as well. Snapping and zipping her in the bag always brought excitement and endless contentment. It signaled the end of her day and the beginning of a long peaceful rest.
Pearl has long outgrown her bag, she has been much too long for a while now. But still her bag must be present, must cover her feet just so, must be with her for bedtime stories and is sometimes summoned when her day is just plain not going well.
Pearl takes an active role when her bag needs to be washed. She insists on putting it in the machine and we usually check a few times during the drying cycle. But its well worth it to see her joy when bag's all clean, and still warm out of the dryer.
My Mom and Dad saved my blanket, which they returned to me when Pearl was born.
I guess its true, the apple doesn't...
