The Butterfly Effect

For the last couple weeks we have watched in anticipation as our larvae became caterpillars, who then made cocoons, who then went to sleep and finally over the last couple days, butterflies are hatching. With each release Pearl dons her own wings and coaches the Painted Ladies in the art of flying until they bravely take first flight. Its been a wonderful highlight and we've had great success. We're just waiting on one more cocoon and Pearl will have taught 8 butterflies to spread their wings.
