Moving on Up

This past Thursday Pearl was awarded her new Orange/Red belt!  Hurray! The ceremony is quite formal with Sensei even speaking Japanese.  Pearl is required to bow, receive her new belt and certificate, take three steps back and then ensure her name is spelled correctly.  After thanking Sensei she is free to turn around and receive cheers of congratulations from her fellow classmates,  everyone's favourite part!

Congratulations once again Pearl, you are learning that with hard work and dedication any goal is achievable and we couldn't be prouder!  The sky's the limit for you little one!

P.S.  Vernon was the big winner of the Battle of the Dojo's last weekend and now is able to house the giant trophy until next year's competition in Powell River.  Pearl played a part in the win so she was very pumped!
