First Day

Yesterday was Pearl's very first day of nursery school and our morning went off without a hitch. Pearl was super excited to say the least. She was gone the minute the big brown doors opened. And I only stayed a few minutes to help her find her cubby and unpack her communal snack. I don't really think she was listening when I explained I'd be back nor did I get an official goodbye, she was much more interested in her new surroundings. When I arrived later on to find the whole class enjoying their playtime outside she said "No, it's not time for you to pick me up yet!"

Truthfully her independence makes me happy, makes me feel good, makes me think I've had a little something to do with her becoming such a brave big girl. I love you Pearl and I am so so proud of you.
