The Second Annual Gingerbread House

Anyone who knows my Trapper well, knows he has a sweet tooth. He's been known to drink maple syrup, eat a poppy seed cake in 24 hours and have cheesecake for breakfast. Fast forward to Pearl and this 'candied apple' didn't fall far from the tree.

So with sweets being a serious business for some of the Fogel's assembling a gingerbread house in our house is tackled with focus, determination and sincere care. This year we did everything from scratch with my fancy new molds. At one point I had to redo the icing as the first build was lacking stability. But my crew persevered and the house was a big success.

Christmas and Hannukah are all about tradition and customs - you've started a lovely one that Pearl and Leo will remember as they grow older
