This year, we were very excited to bring Nana and Grampa up to Silverstar and show them what its all about. There was the glow stick parade, Santa's torchlight parade, fireworks, Frosty, Santa's knee, hot chocolate backpacks, and even tobogganing with Riley.
Its a magical way to spend Christmas Eve and we were very lucky and happy to all be together.
A quick aside about the fireworks...
Pearl wore her ear defenders this year and liked the show, Leo the lion was unfazed by the noise and just took it all in.
After the festivities up at the hill we returned home to prepare Santa's special plate of sweets and reindeer snacks. Pearl had made two different batches of reindeer food and helped Daddy light all the ice lanterns. Pearl thought the circle pattern would help Santa and Rudolph see our house and have a nice smooth landing.

Santa needs a well marked landing pad, too. You're so smart, Pearl. From shots of the next blog entry, it obviously worked. Well done all.
Love, Zaida & Gramma
