Impossible to Capture

Not a day goes by without a visit from our quails. They're usually here a few times a day for meals, socializing and walking. We've lived here long enough (you'd think!) for me to get a great shot, but no. These California Quails are camera shy and Pearl isn't the quietest 3 year old birdwatcher, so here's the best I have.

And Pete's (the pheasant) is even trickier. He spooks at the smallest noise, but they're ours and we're happy to host them.

I guess it"s only natural that there are birds in the yards of Fogels, since the name means bird. Quails, peacocks, turkeys; they're just drawn by the name I guess.
