In true Pearl fashion she came running into our room at 5am-ish, following her birthday ribbon to her presents hiding in the sun porch. We snuggled under the covers, read all her cards and opened all her gifts. There were many, she is very loved near and far.
A quick breakfast, followed by a few final preparations and it was time to greet her guests who included: Nathan and Carter, Rhys, Savannah, Mena, Kev, Phil and Kate, Joel and Alicia and Michele and Cliff.
Some highlights of our favourite 4 year old's party:
Red and purple lantern decorated dining room;
Bike course designed by our friends Joel and Alicia complete with cooling/water station;
Bouncey Castle (on loan from Riley who couldn't attend);
Kiddie create your own pizza followed by a pizza party picnic;
Crazy chocolate birthday cake.

Pearl you are four. 1-2-3-4. 4 years old. My baby is four. You have come so far, accomplished so much, everyday is an adventure with you, and we smile a lot. You are a few days away from your first full year at Nursery School. You are brave, energetic, happy, comical, and intelligent. You love our nightly story time, sushi, helicopters and your purple blanket. You learned how to ski this year, started soccer, made many friends and are still asking Daddy for a trailer. You love talking on the phone, making crafts, dancing to Florence and the Machine and jumping on our tramp. We gave you a pedal bike for your birthday that I know you'll have mastered in no time.
We love you with all our hearts and cannot wait to see what the next four years bring.
