The Bus

Our Pearl loves an adventure and her independence so taking the bus to school was something she was sooo looking forward to. She rocked it for the whole first week. We'd see her off/meet her and she was loving, loving, loving it.

But after checking in with her teacher we were informed that the bus is often late. Not just Pearl's bus, but others and it was such a problem last year that all the teachers petitioned to have school start thirty minutes later. The change was never made so we decided to make a change.

I've called the School District and the Transportation Department, voiced my concern and until the issue is resolved we're driving Pearl to school. Its not a popular decision around here to say the least but one we thought important.

Our Pearl is way to smart and showing up to school late everyday wasn't a habit we wanted her to get used to. So please keep your fingers crossed that the bus gods can make the system work as it should and Pearl gets to ride again real soon.
