Punta Mita Elementary School

One of our most unforgettable days in Punta Mita was spent at the local Elementary School.

We arrived with lots of school supplies from home and all the students in the Grade one class were truly excited to open their bags and check out their gifts.  Pearl was quickly given a desk, two Spanish workbooks and instructed to complete the pages the class was working on while Leo opted to play soccer with the big boys.

We played, laughed, communicated in broken English/Spanish and were treated as very honoured guests.  All the kids were kind and generous,  a few even giving up their pesos to buy Pearl and Leo homemade snacks at the cafeteria during recess.

We were all so thankful for our time spent together and I can only hope that we left as big a mark on those we met as they did on us.

What a great family experience - sharing your good fortunes with others. This is how the world will survive. Getting to know other people, being generous and learning to give back as we have so much more than we really need. Love to you all, Grampa
