There was also a Christmas craft station. Friendly staff were helping children make reindeer with candy canes. Pearl walked right up, had a look at the supplies, a look at the other kids and within seconds said: "Ma, I don't want to make a craft, I want to eat it." This one, I saw coming a mile away since she has been waiting a whole year for the candy cane to make its triumphant return. So yes, eat the candy cane, no craft, let's move on.
Pearl also took some convincing to visit with Santa after we spent almost an hour in the cue but she came around within a few minutes thanks to Mrs. Claus gentle perseverance. Perhaps next year she'll be comfortable enough to read off her whole wish list...
Leo napped through most of the afternoon but woke up just in time for a great visit with Mrs. Claus and Old Saint Nick. His timing was impeccable, you spoil us Leo, you are one good boy.
We love you and your big sister very very much.

Like Mother like Daughter - also I remember standing a long while in a cue ending up with an unsuccesful visit to Santa's knee -good for you Pearl - by next year you'll be a real pro!!

Lily's not to stoked on Mrs Claus...
I like the fact that Mrs. Claus is included in the meeting. Although Leo doesn't look too sure of what's going on, Pearl, you look very comfortable on Mrs. Claus' lap. Way to go, girl.
Love to all,
