Vancouver Visit

We spent a couple days in Vancouver over the weekend. It was a multipurpose trip, the best reason being reuniting with Trap up after his Papua New Guinea tour. We had planned to meet at the hotel downtown but the kids and I surprised him at the airport and the party started soon there afterwards.

Friday night we celebrated in style at our hotel's famous Chocoholic Buffet http://www.vancouver.suttonplace.com/Chocoholic_Buffet.htm
Yes, that's right we threw caution to the wind and all dined on everything chocolate.  It was heavenly and perhaps a wee bit of a culture shock for Trap.

Saturday I was surprised with a morning at the hotel spa, then hit the Aquarium in the afternoon.  Pearl is an Aquarium veteran now and toured her brother around to all her favourites.  Neither sat still for 60 seconds the entire visit in an valiant attempt to touch, see, do as much as possible.

We were crafty and still managed to hit up some cool city eats, highlights being the Elbow Room, Japa Dog and the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company.  Our dining out options are endless with Pearl but Leo is a completely different story.  We'll get him eating Indian and sushi soon, its my mission!

I didn't have my camera out too much over the weekend, as it was just so lovely to be together again.  Here are a few of Leo on his first trip to the big city.  While in our room, he retired to his perch with a view.

Good perch, Leo, to see what was happening below you. You surely have inherited those "nosey" Parker genes!! I bet Pearl was showing you all her favorites at the Aquarium.
